As an Equine Behaviourist with a Master's degree (MSc) in Animal Behaviour, Welfare, Ethics and Law, I provide evidence-based behaviour consultations that focus on improving both horse welfare and the relationship between horse and owner. My approach is rooted in the latest scientific research, using ethical, reward-based (R+) training methods to help horses learn in a way that is clear, compassionate, and effective. Every horse is an individual, and there is rarely a one-size-fits-all solution to behavioural concerns. I take the time to understand your horse's history, environment, health, management, and daily routine before developing a tailored behaviour modification plan that addresses the underlying causes rather than simply treating the symptoms. I can provide support with a range of behavioural challenges, including: * Fear, anxiety and confidence issues * Handling and husbandry behaviours * Loading and travelling * Separation-related behaviours * Difficulties during veter For behaviour consultations I work upon veterinary approval to ensure that each horse I work with has had any potential pain related causes for the unwanted behaviour ruled out. The consultation can either be where your horse is stabled at a price of £150 for a two hour session or over a zoom meeting at a reduced cost of £100. After the initial consultation, a report will be emailed out to you detailing any relevant management recommendations, alongside a proposed shaping plan to address the behaviour. Each follow up appointment will be an hour and a half long at a price of £60. Follow up sessions can be arranged on a weekly basis or in blocks of numerous weeks at a discounted rate. During each session owners will be encouraged to be involved with and supported through the entire training process from day one, as well as receiving in depth education about their horses particular behavioural issue and the equine learning process. Consultations outside a 20 mile radius from The Caim will be charged a small fee to cover expenses. A discount is offered to clients who agree for their horse to be used as a case study. *A £50 deposit is taken at the time of booking, with the remaining balance to be paid on the day*
